dak at school
Schools all over Canada and the United States are using dakbands to teach citizenship, leadership, compassion, as part of anti-bullying campaigns and for community building.
Please scroll down to discover lots of creative, fun ideas for implementing the dakbands at school.
Schools, colleges, universities and educational programs throughout North America have adopted the dakbands.
Some are using the bands as part of leadership initiatives, others use them as part of citizenship and community building lessons, while still others use them as part of anti-bullying campaigns. We are proud, for example, that Tribes, an international program that focuses on creating safe and caring environments within school communities, uses the dakbands as part of their cirriculum.
Currently, we are working with teachers and educators to develop and provide materials that will help to integrate the dakbands into the classroom and school in a wholistic manner.
We are also working on developing the dakclub kit. Which will contain all the material, directions, and support for students and teachers to create dak clubs at their schools.
We regularly interview, teachers, students, and parents about their experience using the dakbands. In the past these features have appeared on our blog, but now you will be able to find them here as well!
